"It's my life, it's now or never. I'm not gonna live forever. I just want to live while I'm alive." - Jon Bon Jovi

I consider myself very lucky to be doing what I love. I don't think I chose the field of Psychology; I think it chose me. It was a calling that I answered. I believe we were not meant to travel this path called Life alone. Not only do we try to find good friends, companions, and family to surround, encourage and support us, but we can feel lost without significant others in our lives. Our parents, our siblings, our children, our friends and our lovers all provide integral and essential components that make our lives worth living, that make our journey happier and more fulfilling. The problem arises when an aspect of life sideswipes us, and we find ourselves, for whatever reason, unprepared for the effect. It can be a positive thing, such as a wedding, planned pregnancy or promotion, or it can be a negative, such as a death or divorce. It can be as minor as feeling anxious or agitated for any unknown reason, or the source can be very specific, such as a tragic or traumatic event which leaves us stressed or phobic, feeling out of control. We can be dealing with a normal life-passing event such as love relationships, empty-nest syndrome or retirement, or a major depressive episode caused by any number of internal or external sources.

Regardless of the cause, the emotions we deal with are real and impacting. Sometimes our friends or family can help; sometimes they can't. (Heck, sometimes they ARE the problem!) Childhood experiences, teenage angst, adulthood trials... all of life's passages can create or exacerbate serious emotional issues or scars. My role is to be there for you... to help you deal with anything that life is throwing your way and causing you to stumble in your steps.

Sexual relationships can be a major source of emotional stress, anger, sadness or even resentment. I may be able to enhance your sexual relationship, whether it be through increased couples communication skills, or by teaching you and your partner new sexual techniques, or even dealing with sexual dysfunctions.

Life can be a joyous experience. If you think that you are missing out on something, or that you know there is more to this thing called Life than you are experiencing, you are probably right. I would like to help. Whether it be your love life, your family, your past, your present, or your future... if you have questions about how to be happier, or even just to cope, perhaps now is the time to consider what Therapy can do for you.

I love what I do. I am passionate about helping others. This is not a job for me; this is my calling. This is my philosophy. To help you find satisfaction in any and all areas of your life.
